Wilderness Areas/Wild & Scenic Rivers
Blood Mountain Wilderness - Small and big game hunters are attracted to this Wilderness and hikers travel the Appalachian Trail for 10.75 miles along the crest of the Blue Ridge.
Brasstown Wilderness - Located in Georgia, Brasstown Wilderness offers wildlife viewing, trout fishing, and hiking.
Cohutta Wilderness - The 37,000 acre Cohutta Wilderness contains 90 miles of hiking and backpacking trails, two of which follow the Jacks and Conasauga Rivers.
Ellicott Rock Wilderness - This Wilderness provides visitors with bountiful opportunities to experience solitude and see an impressive array of plan and animal communities while hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, swimming, or kayaking.
Mark Trail Wilderness - Come fish at this top notch trout fishing Wilderness with miles of trails to explore.
Raven Cliffs Wilderness - Attracting many anglers, this Wilderness offers trout streams to fish.
Rich Mountain Wilderness - Small and big game hunters are the primary visitors of this Wilderness.
Southern Nantahala Wilderness - Almost all of the developed trails are steep and strenuous, with a rough tread that is sometimes a challenge to find. But few places in the southern United States offer such outstanding backpacking opportunities.
Tray Mountain Wilderness - Most visitors to this Wilderness are attracted to the 16.5 miles of Appalachian Trail that are unusually level.
