The Ochoco National Forest and the Crooked River National Grassland are located in the heart of Central Oregon. From the rolling hills and steep overlooks of the Crooked River to the forested mountains and high prairies of the Ochocos, there is so much to see and explore.

Wilderness Areas/Wild & Scenic Rivers

Black Canyon Wilderness - This remote 13,400 acre wilderness offers opportunities for solitude. 

Bridge Creek Wilderness - Orientation skills are a must for traveling because there are no maintained trails in Bridge Creek Wilderness.

Mill Creek Wilderness - Four trailheads provide access to approximately 18 miles of trails, each located adjacent to small, rustic campgrounds.
