Explore the Ice Age with a visit to the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument and discover the unique story of this ever-changing ecosystem.

The Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument was established in 2014 with a purpose to conserve and protect the unique and nationally important paleontological, scientific, educational, and recreational resources and values of the land. Just north of Las Vegas this 22,650 acre national monument shows the colorful desert life and the inhabitants of this unique landscape. For over tens of thousands of years animals have visited and left their remains for paleontologists to unearth. Fossils have been found as far back as the Pleistocene (Ice Age) which have shown the past life in comparison to the animals that are alive today.
