The Charlotte State Forest (Charlotte SF) is 5,688 acres (2,531 acres acquired in late 2020 as phase 1, 2,474 acres acquired in 2021 as phase 2, and 683 acres acquired in 2023 as phase 3) in Charlotte County. It is managed for sustainable timber production, demonstration of scientific forest management, applied forest research, diverse wildlife habitat, watershed protection, biological diversity, and passive outdoor recreation.
